Club America has officially started its transfer period for Apertura 2026. Coach Guillermo Almada is already in Mexico to begin preseason work, with more than a month to prepare, since the tournament will not begin until July 18. Five players whose loans with other teams have ended have reported to Coapa: Cristian Calderón, Franco Rossano, Emilio Lara, Miguel Ramírez, and Esteban Lozano. The future of none of them has been decided yet, so we do not know if any of them will stay. In terms of transfers, as is usually the case, many rumors have surfaced, but for now there is nothing official. The team has had four departures: André Jardine, Jonathan dos Santos, Ralph Orquín, and Jonathan dos Santos. There are players whose futures are up in the air, such as those who have just returned from loan or others like 'Pantera' Zúñiga, Alexis Gutiérrez, and Thiago Espinosa, whose continuity will depend on the coaching staff. There are also players who could head to European football. The board is not ruling out receiving offers for several players such as Sebastián Cáceres, Israel Reyes, Brian Rodríguez, and Alejandro Zendejas; if the offer suits all parties, they would let them leave and look for a replacement. For now, this is how the transfer market stands. It will be a long window, and at the outset not many moves are expected, so we will have to be patient and see how everything develops.
