Club America has already begun its preparations for Apertura 2026 and the Leagues Cup. With Guillermo Almada arriving as the new head coach, the club is in Coapa planning its preseason. Almada has decided to take the team to Spain, specifically to Málaga, where they will carry out most of their preparation. Currently, they have a confirmed friendly against Argentina's River Plate, although it will be played behind closed doors. More friendly matches are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks. Club America's official debut in Apertura 2026 will be on Saturday, July 18 at 09:00 PM against Querétaro at Estadio Corregidora. The Leagues Cup will begin shortly after, with consecutive matches against San Diego, Portland, and Austin from MLS. It is important to note that only the first match against San Diego will be at home; the rest will be away.
